First of all, from the players, staff and myself many congratulations to Ian and Tracey on the birth of their
daughter Jessie on Tuesday. We all wish you good times ahead.
Also on behalf of the players, staff and everyone connected with Frome Town Football Club we would like
to wish Kevin Slack from Bishop Cleeve a speedy recovery from his very serious injury on Wednesday
evening.
I was delighted with our first 30 minutes on Wednesday against Bishop Cleeve and we created numerous
chances, scored two very good goals from Luke Ballinger and should have been out of sight. Then once
again we concede straight after scoring and then it becomes a right struggle.
After the injury to Kevin I think it took a lot out of the players and with the conditions not conducive to good
football, it became a horrible spectacle. However full credit to the lads to scrap out another victory in our
quest to enabling Southern League Football for next season.
This coming Saturday we travel to Windsor & Eton who are currently top of the League and also unbeaten. We are no illusions how tough the game will
be. Not many people will give us much chance of getting anything there, but I can assure you we will certainly give it everything we have got in trying to
obtain a positive result.
Hopefully a big following from you the supporters and who knows!
We do have injury problems for the game. Simeon, Matty Minnis, Matty Peters, Joe Gomes and Craig Fulham all look likely to miss the game. However
we do have strength in depth and whoever comes in I’m sure will do fine.
Enjoy the game and a have a safe trip.
