The Club was formed in 1978 and was known as Victoria F.C. The team played in the Mid Somerset Division 3. For the 1983/84 season, the clubs name changed to Sportshouse.

Three seasons later a Reserve team was introduced who played in the Mid Somerset League.

The first Youth team was founded in 1989/90 at Under 16's level. A third adult team was introduced during season 1994/95, and also an Under 11 youth team - this was the introduction to the current Youth set up.

The following season, further Youth teams were added from Under 11's to Uner 17's. During the 1996/97 season, the club joined forces with Frome United Ladies, and a fourth Adult team (consisting mainly of the progressing Youth players) was introduced in the Trowbridge League.

Due to lack of players, both the fourth and third adult teams were withdrawn after a further two seasons.

During the Summer of 2002, the club joined forces with Frome Town F.C. and formed a new organisation for youth players in the town called Frome Town Sports. The aim is to encourage youth football players to progress through Frome Town Sports junior sides so they have the opportunity to progress to the First Team Squad.

This is a huge step forward not only for Frome Town F.C. but for the town as well. For the season 2002/03, a third Adult team was re-introduced and plays in the Trowbridge League.

The partnership with Frome Town was fully confirmed during the 2006/07 season when the "Frome Football Partnership" was launched along with Frome Town Ladies to bring all levels of football under one partnering arrangement for the benefit of the town.

We offer football facilities to both Youth and Adult players.

We are always on the look out for new players young or old, or if you can help out in any way we would be glad to hear from you.
